A juried art exhibition showcasing painting and drawing produced by living, contemporary artists of Lithuanian origin will take place during Kanados Lietuvių Dienos / Lithuanian Heritage Day 2017. The art exhibition will be open to the public all day Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 12:00PM to 11:00PM. The artwork will be hung Saturday, July 29 at 7:00AM and will be dismantled at 11:00PM. Artists may choose to sell their work.
Artists may submit applications electronically on our website or by mail.
All applications will be reviewed by the jury, which is made up of practicing Lithuanian-Canadian artists and a respected art professional working in the field of high-end Canadian art.
The jury is looking for contemporary and traditional painting and drawing.
While an emphasis will be placed on contemporary and emerging artists, established artists are encouraged to apply.
A wide representation of artists of Lithuanian origin will be showcased in this exhibition.

The juried art exhibition will be held in the heritage Horticulture Building in the Glebe area of Ottawa, Ontario within walking steps of the Rideau Canal. The building, constructed in 1914, has a distinct industrial feel, with high ceilings and exposed beams.
The juried Kanados Lietuvių Dienos / Lituanian Heritage Day 2017 art show is open to all living artists of Lithuanian origin. Artists must be over 18 years of age.
Applications should be received or be postmarked by May 1, 2017. Express or overnight delivery is NOT permitted.
Please gather all of your information and JPEG documents in order to complete the electronic submission form in one sitting. You cannot save a partially completed form and return to it later.

Size of artwork:
All artwork must not exceed 40” x 60”. Larger works may be accepted, but it is the responsibility of the artist to deliver and pick up said work.
Works on regular canvas must be framed.
Gallery profile stretched canvas (1 1/2" - 1 5/8") can be unframed.
Works on paper must be framed.
All paintings and drawings must be ready for hanging with appropriate hardware installed (hanging wire on the back of the painting).
Packaging and crating:
It is the artist's responsibility to ensure that artwork is packaged in bubblewrap and securely covered with cardboard.
Every piece of art must be separately packaged and clearly labelled with artist’s name and title of work enclosed.
